The ReEmber Terrain Slip On uses a substantial 25 mm ULTRA-COMF footbed within a puffy, post-adventure shoe. Our job at component level was to organize the profile, internal fit, EVA direction and recycled-material documentation without borrowing claims from the upper or outsole.

The challenge
A substantial footbed needed to fit the shoe and carry a clearly defined material story.
Teva publishes a 25 mm ULTRA-COMF footbed for the ReEmber Terrain, while the project brief points to recycled EVA. The development challenge was to turn those inputs into a precise component: confirm the profile, decide which layer uses recycled material, define the EVA targets and keep the footbed aligned with the upper and outsole interfaces.
Our work
What We Did
We focused on the geometry, material, interfaces and checks needed to move the part into shoe testing.
Mapped the 25 mm construction
We organized the last, footbed outline, contour and heel-to-forefoot profile around the space available inside the slip-on.
Defined the recycled-EVA direction
We separated the material intention from the final claim and identified the feedstock, content range, calculation basis and traceability documents to confirm.
Set component targets
Hardness, density, resilience, compression behavior, surface, color and bonding were treated as project-specific inputs rather than generic EVA properties.
Connected the part to the shoe
We planned dimensional and material checks for the footbed, followed by fit, step-in feel, flex and durability review in the full ReEmber Terrain construction.
Result
The Result
The team had a practical route for evaluating a thick footbed without losing track of material scope. Profile, fit and EVA properties could move through component development while the recycled-content statement waited for the right supporting documents.
In the finished shoe: Teva presents the ReEmber Terrain as a post-adventure and camping slip-on with a puffy ripstop upper, 25 mm ULTRA-COMF footbed and rugged rubber outsole. We focus on the footbed; water resistance, warmth and traction belong to the complete shoe and its other systems.
